Privacy notice
Who we are
Find a grant is a digital service run by the Cabinet Office (‘we’). Its purpose is to bring together information from across Government to make it easier for users to search for grants.
As we decide how your data will be collected and processed, we are the ‘data controller’.
Why our use of your personal data is lawful
Because you have freely given your data to us, we are allowed to use it in line with this privacy policy. This is called ‘subject consent’.
The personal data we collect
Our service collects your email address. We will use it to send you notifications about:
- grants you are following
- new grants that match your saved search criteria
- unsubscribing from our mailing lists (should you choose to do so)
- approaching deadlines for the grants you are following
We also use Google Analytics to collect information about how you use Find a grant. You can find out more by reading our cookie preferences.
How long we keep your data
We will keep your email address until:
- the grant you are following closes
- you unsubscribe from the notification
- it has been 7 years since you gave us your email address
Who has access to your personal data?
The Cabinet Office and our external data storage supplier (GPaaS) have access to your data. Your data will not be shared further. Our data storage supplier will only use your data in line with this privacy policy.
